I can't comment on behalf of someone else. Would have been a great one day game if we didn't have the farce of having to start knowing the game had an hour in it at best on the 1st day.
They will be in the finals so I hope we get a chance to play them again later in the year, good bunch of lads..
Thanks for replying but i beg to differ. Your club has said they think they r unbeatable, that is a fact and no doubt has gotten up peoples noses. If u asked ur coach and he answered honestly you may be surprised.
As for Spanna, why should he declare? The Doves were shocked 1st game with the loss to St Marys, getting points out of the Buckley game was a must and i think the decision to bat on was right. With such a wet start to the year why wouldnt a good capatain give his team a hit for the day?
You are flag favourites so lets not pretend that not beating Doves for 5 years is the real issue here. Its not my prob ur club is unpopular, i am not the only one with these views. As for the Doves, dont have an issue with thier fighting spirit.
Lets see whether your star studded bowling attack is really the goods, time will tell

Did they not already prove themselves in round 2, 1 bloke made 70 and a ex district player at that. Take that score out and Parkfield would have being out for less then 100 , and if Spanna was out cheaply it could have being the same story
Who are the teams that they bowling need to prove themselves against ?
i agree that the Parkfield game was a good Buckley bowling effort. However, as soon as i bring up Doveton all of a sudden the bowlers were without rythym, the wicket was flat, our spinner got his 1st Five for, it was good to give him a go.... you get my drift
So in my opinion a great attack can bowl when its flat, if a bowler is down someone else takes up the mantle. But instead Hendy gets the blame for not making a game of it.
When things go wrong look inside ur own cupboard and generally u will find the answer. So for me the jury is still out.
Hope i answered sufficiently. Im told im not to good in the intelligence department, so anything thats no clear i am happy to clarrify
Bit confused with your answer as you seem to contridict your self especially with the following comment "So in my opinion a great attack can bowl when its flat, if a bowler is down someone else takes up the mantle"
Isnt this what happened with the spinner taking 5 fa , so in your own words that would make them a great attack
dont be confused coz theres no need to be. Great attacks bowl sides out, its as simple as that. I dont like to hear it was flat, we gave him ago, so and so had no rhythym.
Your point was they have proved themselves and mine was the jury is out. At this stage nothing changes my view.
Also why didnt the skipper who is a great bowler pu tthe bit between his teeth and bowl in bursts. Buckely played like a team that aws destined to stay in the field all day and hope for a declaration. Great bowling sides dont accept that, they go real hard no matter what the score or conditions are.
Is this clear now?

I don't actually think that 260 was that bad an effort considering Spanna's 120 and the size of our ground and the wicket from our bowlers. The way you are protraying it is that it was a disaster and that the wheels have fallen off. Bigger scores will be made there this season I can guarantee that.
As for Spanna's lack of declaration I don't blame him at all, he is acting in the best interests of his club as he is appointed to do. having said that it was a shame that we didn't get to play a one dayer on the 2nd week, as it was it may have saved us 3 points, who knows.
As for us being flag favourites, with all due respect your opinion means very little to us and we certainly don't think of ourselves that way. I would love to know where this "unbeatable" garbage comes from, certainly not from the dressing room.
NDCC are a very good team and we are concentrating on nothing more than them this weekend. As for our popularity I have no issue having a beer with players and supporters of all our competing clubs as I have for the last 15 years.
I tend to agree with LHO , they did bowl a side out on park for 260 with one person getting a ton and no one else over 50. Keeping a side to apprx 3.5 runs a over on park is a fair effort
Left hand No 7, there is no reason to be conciliatory with me, i dont care what anyone thinks because i am only giving an opinion.
I am startled as to why none of you cant simply come out and say "it wasnt our best bowling effort" but instead excuses get rolled out which compounds the problem
I said the jury is out thats all. As for what you all think as a club....... hmmmm?
As i said, its been clearly stated that your coach thinks your unbeatable. He may regret those words and choose not to remember saying them, thats his call not mine
how many other club presidents are on this forum gobbing off and leading the way with soft threats about looking forward to catching up with people?...maggot!

thanks LH 7 at least someones honest. You are flag favourites by a long way, you are the yard stick of the comp and with that comes at lot of expectation as we will all curiously watch.
Are u sure Kiwi is coming back? Heard a word or 2 that this may not be the case?
Whoops, i better watch out now coz big K is after me
ha ha ha ha ha, whats the world coming to.
