NZA? which would you like? played first class since i was 18 had a **** load of injuries as most quicks do,made NZA side that came to australia in 2005.. had two years off after having a knee reconstruction playing rugby union in that two years of i played provinicial union, had a good refreshing break and wanted to get back into it.in my first season back i made nz emerging players side atstart of 2009 that played two matches against touring england A side including players like trott, plunkett, mahmood, key, wright.. got picked again for emerging players again lat4er in that year and came to australia in july plaing against australia india and south africa A, aussie had the marshes, tait, steve smith, returned home and regained my contract for state side, didnt play any matches for that side, which was frustrating and got top batter and bowling trophoes for my district and club side
anythig else???
And have ended up playing for Buckley Waaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh now theres another line in the resume
I have never posted under an alias on this forum. I was LHO for 3 years and when that was hijacked I'm now LH No 7.
Number 1 scorer, that was a clean catch and for you to suggest differently is disgusting from 150 metres away, I was about 10 away and saw it clearly as did the umpire. If you were so outraged about it, why not mention it on the night rather than pot away 3 days later from behind a PC.
Spineless..
Lefty I respect you as a judge but there is know doubt it hit the ground. He originally took it but it spilt out when he hit the ground. I can undertsnad him thinking he caught it and the others on the creek side wouldn't have seen it because their view would have been blind from that angle. The umpire also new that it spilled and explained that it was a catch despite spilling when he hit the ground, becuase he controlled it. The issue is not with Buckley its with the umpire not knowing the rule, which states that ...... a catch shall end when a fielder obtains complete control both over the ball and over his own movement.
Hence if he drops it when he hits the ground its not a catch. Not Buckley faults but in my view but definatley inadequate umpiring.
u asked about my career in nz, career with ups n downs and plenty of injuries, ive ben lucky to play against decent players and travel around, and has given me tha chance to come to buckley and play with some really talented cricketers and play against some really talented ones also, not taking anything away from the players yu have listed goblin, they are definatly quality players.
anyway.... surely we goingto get some cricket in today??? no clouds at all outside, mind you was like this yesterday then it bucketed down in the avo??
We all know u have to hold onto it bb, herschelle Gibbs showed us that. It didn't hit the ground and ge caught it so I fail to see how the umpire is liable. Accept the decision and move on lads.
Lefty I have moved on, it wasn't the reason we lost and there are more important things in the world. But it did hit the ground. Happy to agree to disagree.
