Been watching alot of the WSC classics on foxtel this summer.How bad were the Aussie umpires before neutrals came in.Bloody terrible IMO.Saved Australia's arse in plenty of games it seems.

how good was it to watch a game without Stump cam, hawkeye, heat spot 3rd umpires etc

Allan Lamb was a South African wasn't here. Just another example of the world X1 getting England across the line....

the best sign i saw was " go pommys". it suprised me though because allan lamb and tony grieg were batting.

The best was how everyone wore the stubby shorts and no tops. Even the girls got around in bras n shorts. Great days of cricket i reckon.

And you could bring your own esky in. As long as you kept it to a maximum of 24 stubbies per person. Fanfkntastic. As I was reminded only recently, i was born in the wrong era.
