Wonder if it was as good as Rob Waltons spell at Berwick back in the mid 90's. Think he took 9 for that day. All reports one of the most terrifying spells seen. Some old timers might recall that one. Steve Myer no doubt had some ripper spells back then too.

The wicket was fine. Outfield was slow and the wind was howling which made it difficult to score. Jimmy bowled one of the better spells i've ever seen. I was lucky enough to take a catch at slip (blinder) off his bowling and my hand is still a bit tender today from it. Definitely the quickest i've seen him bowl, but i think Sir was overdoing it with the Will Carr talk. Good pace all the same.

It was one of the more unbelievable sessions of cricket you'd ever see. We dropped two catches amongst all that and had a very very very very close LBW turned down. In fact, it was hitting middle half way up who am i kidding....

The game's not over though, still got two wickets to get next week. After the yesterday, nothing is impossible.

Im happy with that appraisal. Im not taking anything away from Davies, very improved and has picked up a yard.

But to say quicker than Wil would have him somewhere in the quickest few to have played in the comp.

Davies and Hendy and easily Wooky favourites at this early stage

A very, very, very, very close lbw turned down? Very diplomatic of you train !!!

Hope you didn't do a Vetori and sledge the **** out of the ump, make him doubt himself, only for the replay to show the batsmen smashed the siht out of it ;)
