Hi cricketers, just a reminder that teams will be docked percentage if it is deemed by the umpires that play went well beyond time due to tardy over rates. There is no excuse for captains not doing all they can to avoid this. We as an umpire group will be coming down on this rather hard after some of the times the games finished over the last 2 weekends. You blokes are the 1st to complain about us when we err so please don't complain we you are penalised for things that are in your control.
Good luck for the remainder of the season.

Ok well from experience I know you will be treated with a bit more respect on here if you just told us who you were. Especially if you are an umpire, coz you will then have Slocs sucking up harder than a Hoover at Godfrey's.
welcome to the forum, it's good to have another white coat on board. Stump and a few of his mates get a bit grumpy over missunderstandings now an again.
I am sure Capt"s will listen to your warning and as a new comer you have to accept that the odd bit of dung will be "chucked" your way.
Speaking of chucking... how long are you lot going to let our great game degenerate. There are chuckers out there and i dont believe the answer is to simply advise those above.
Umps want respect then take control. Chucking is chucking, it's as simple as that.
My personal method of dealing with 'suspect' actions is to advise the powers above. My method of dealing with 'blatant chuckers' is to give them 1 warning that the next ball they throw will result in being banished from bowling for the remainder of that innings along with notification to the league of the entire scenario. If the captain chooses to challenge me on the field over my decision he will be asked to refrain from disputing my call or he will have a date with the tribunal when they next sit.

i am with train here...this dude i dont beleive to be an umpire.
But 'BLANTANT CHUCKERS?' gives food for thought.....really are there any in the Turf Grades where we have umpires officiating?...there's the odd one with a suspect action but blatant???? As a spectator/part time player i am way out of the loop nowadays.
Are there any blantant chuckers out there?....

Goblin99, it's no secret that I'm rarely liked amongst players and other umpires but I do love umpiring and will be happy to answer questions re umpiring if it will give everyone a better understanding of the rules and interpretations of them.

If Wide Ball is who I think it is then I'd suggest to him to be very careful what he says on here. I'm confident in my own ability to stay away from any conflict on and not to damage the reputations of my fellow umpires, but I'm not so confident him, if it is in fact him.

Ok then. Here is some admonition for you. Please refrain from using your puerile sense of humour on here to cause any confrontation or subject the umpiring fraternity to any further embarrasment. I would also caution you to abstain from any libellous comments regarding our confrontation a while back. If you do happen to cross any of these boundaries, I will not hesitate to take legal action (again) or tap you up with another flurry of punches back at the umpires rooms like I had to last time. Your choice.
Yours sincerely, Jim Cormack. (Not afraid to put a name to a post)
