There would be some mother of all hidings i reckon Sir. Some clubs just plain have no depth. No offence to Springvale but could you imagine them in t1.
springvale for example would play turf 2 and their 2nds turf 4, now if they havent the depth then they shouldnt be in the comp.

It does make it hard though becasue some sides will never be able to attract players like other clubs. So we may have a revolving door of lots of teams up and down.
its all about having say 20 strong clubs, so if 4 or 5 clubs such as springy, silverton, doveton nth havent got the depth and cant have 2 decent turf sides then they move on or play A grade.
But Sir some clubs do use there lower turf grades as feeders for kids and are happy to have 2-4 wins a year. Kids get some great experience on turf as well. I just couldnt see how it would work. How many teams would there be in each grade?
The only way i could see it working is if they adopt a similar concept to the West Gippy and go to 8 team competitions. Even if it means there is 7 or 8 Turf grades. It's by far and away the fairest and best way of structuring a competition i've ever seen. Only problem is, the bottom half teams in Turf 1 and Turf 2 would never allow it to go ahead, for risk of dropping out of one of the top divisions. If you don't do something like that then Sir's proposed competition would be far too lopsided.
Turf 3 would be a joke in that scenario Sir, tue turf 1 clubs that have turf 4 are in that grade for a reaso and the turf 2 clubs that have turf 3 are in that grade Coz they were too good for t4
they would work it out prince the weaker teams, they would have to. currently in turf 2 there is only two 2nds teams, couple of years ago there was at least 4, berwick and nth dandy come to mind who now play turf 3.
with the set up ive mentioned only two clubs named in turf 1 have their 2nds in turf 4 and they are both currently 1st and 2nd. st marys and dandy west.

Every chance nth dandy will be back in turf 2 next year.
HSD have played t3 finals the last few years, there is no way we'd agree to go back to t4, why would we want to put our young players back to a worse standard and stunt their growth
i understand your point about your 2nds but it would even out over time and be a true reflection on where your club is at. your 2nds have only won two games this year prince,
