warning bells should of sound when he umpired under an assumed name and not his real name.
His umpiring?..... never heard a good word said about him.
And who knew he had another name certainly not the DDC Umpires association. At least until the past 2 weeks. Hard to find that out if all your dealings are in cash and you supply the name etc for registration.
How many cricket clubs ask for a Proof of Identity when dealing with a mature aged adult. I figure ZERO...
Channel 9 news might be interesting tonight as well.

Thanks stumpy, I will never get back the half an hour I just spent watching the 9 news for nothing

I am not sure how the umpires employ people. But i would've thght police checks would be done. Working with children checks???? no umpire officiates in jnr grand finals??? Sounds very sloppy and lazy if you ask me.

OK so I can assume that all Cricket clubs in the DDCA run police checks on all their players and officials.
Rob, think again.
I said that after this situation there will be put in place WWC and certification of no criminal charges. But really how far do you go.. Do you ban a person who 30 years ago was caught in a stolen car??
Spare the great moralisation and pontification in favour of real solutions which will be in place shortly
