Was just doing my weekly Sunday browse through results vault and couldn't help but notice a couple of outstanding individual performances on the weekend.
One that really stood out was the efforts of a S.Hennessy in Springvale South's Turf 2 side. In a team that was badly defeated he finished the day with 21 and 70 not out and no doubt saved his team from an outright loss. I noticed he clobbered two 6's in that as well which is unbelievable really as the game was played at Casey Fields. I know for a fact Slocs has never done that before.
I see this Hennessy started the year in D Grade and has risen through the ranks at a remarkable rate, I'm assuming he's a young bloke from that? Will he push for selection in the ones come finals time? Do you think you'll be able to hang on to him or will Dandy or Casey swoop? One thing i do know is that if they don't, Berwick will.
Well done to S. Hennessy from Springy Sth on that performance. You motivated me to look through the vault to find a good performance and I found in B Grade, North Dandenong's K. Hunter made 90. A good effort by him considrering the massive run chase Nth Dandy had ahead of them.
Looking through the Ladders with one round to go and CRanbourne have 6 of their 8 senior sides going to play finals. F Grade could sneak in if they win and Parkfield lose. Only their C grade won't play finals if this happened. Pretty good effort with 3 turf sides as well.

There were some good performances in the F Grade match between St Brigid/St Louis and North Dandenong. A hat-trick to S. Moloney and 6 overs, 6 maidens to M Scurah from North Dandenong. Also in F Grade, Lyndale's captain K. Bundy took 6 for 35 and made 59.

In Turf 1, Parkfield's S. Spoljaric made 184 and had a partnership of 154 with B. Dowler who made 47. Parkfield are defending 361 next week so I'm guessing Parkfield will win pretty easily. D. Bell from North Dandenong bowled well. 9 overs, 2 maidens, 2 wickets for 30 runs.
