The members of the DDCA executive were shocked to hear the news last night of the passing of one of our own.
Whilst Vin had only been on the executive for two seasons as the Umpires representative, he had left his mark on all of us as a truely good guy with a dry sense of humour, as well as being one of of top umpires.
To Vin's many friends throughout the DDCA fraternity and especially at Dandy West we say celebrate his life and remember the good times.
The DDCA will be calling for a minutes silence before each senior semi-final on Saturday with black arm bands being worn if possible as a mark of respect.
We have lost a good friend and it has affected us all.
Wow only 2 years but hearing Vin left us hit me hard, truly a great man and one bloke i truly respetected and hoped to see each week at my games before and after. Ripping bloke sad to hear, condolences to his family!
