And Big Bro: Clearly ... you don't know the rules. Warnie was not playing at any of those levels mentioned in my earlier post so the comp rules as stated did not apply to him. Cheers.

Now I don't know whether this whole thing is a piss take or not, but if not, then here are said rules

 

VB 20/20 Cup Rules and Playing Conditions
1. Playing Conditions
1.1.

The Laws of Cricket (2000 Code 2nd Edition 2003), as adopted by Cricket Victoria except as varied hereunder, shall apply.

2.


Eligibility of Players


2.1.


All participating players must be a registered financial member of the club they are representing in the season of the competition, and have played a minimum of 2 matches in the current or previous season.

2.2.


Players competing in Premier or Sub District Cricket in the season of the competition are ineligible

2.3.

Any player serving a suspension at the time of a scheduled VB Twenty20 match for their club are ineligible
2.4.
Players participating in semi finals (Round 3) and or Final match must have played at least one match in the preliminary rounds (Rounds 1 or 2).
