Having the T1 gf a weekend later isnt as simple as it sounds BB, footy take over the grounds 1st of april. If we pushed the granny back this year the extra weekend allowed for a wet first w/e would fall in april. Although if a ground doesnt have footy on it like alex nelson..........i see where your going!!!! Dont mind the other ideas though, but all come at a cost and unless you can isolate the T1 granny it makes it hard to get the crowds to cover all the extra costs espicially when a signficant number of the crowd dont use that bar facilities on site preferring to byo.

How about we play round 11 over a sat/sun? All semis the weeks after. All GF's except T1 on Labour Day weekend and the Turf 1 GF the week after (normal weekend for all GF's). No clash with footy ground.
Won't work if you have more than one team in the finals playing different rounds the same week. What if you have a bloke in the ones hanging by a thread and makes a blob in the semi? You don't get the option of dropping him for the granny because the twos have already played theirs

Wouldn't matter. Your sides are picked before the first lot of GF's after the semi's. Only difference is the T1 teams play a week later. If a bloke gets dropped after a bad semi he can still play in a lower grade GF as long as he has qualified. All GF sides would be picked at the same time. Onyl effects two clubs.
I reckon it's a great idea. How often do teams have there ones and two's in the GF and someone does a string at training? It's the same as the Sunday game that we are playing this week, if one of my blokes had of fell out of bed and broke his wrist on Sunday morning, i couldn't have played anyone else that played the day before.
Besides, I'm sure a rule could be put in place for special exceptions of injury, where a player could be brought in who played the week before if a player selected was injured prior to the match.

Ok no worries, if doveton miraculously have ones and twos in the granny we will make sure to drop arnberger to the twos for a dud and then the week of the granny the dud who has been put up to the ones mysteriously breaks his hand and we'll bring arnberger back in
