I've got a strange feeling that the Nth Dandy vs Hallam game in the last round could throw up an interesting result, with one of them making the four because of it, similar to what happened a couple of years ago.

Do you think the last round should be a one dayer?
I don't think so. That would give us a 40 over one day match, followed up by a 90 over two day final played on consecutive days. Not a great preperation for the final is it?
I definitely know what you mean, I just think one day games are a totally different game to the two dayers so to have one right before a final doesn't seem ideal to me. And wouldn't round 10 just become the same as what round 11 is now if we did that?
Playing 90 over finals in itself is ridiculous anyway. Why do we extend the game another 10 overs each innings come finals time?

Yeah its an interesting one.
I'm not sure if the contrived outright results would happen in round 10. i'm just not sure. i guess as there's a whole other 6 points to be had the next game it makes it quite hard. Not sure on that one though.
The extra 10 overs is different. Does anyone know why it is done?
It's got me beat. The ten overs makes a huge difference, especially in the field. I can barely move my legs after tea at the best of times, let alone in the 88th over at 6:45pm!

Train ....... by memory abt 15-20yrs ago the g/f use to be 200 overs played over three days and yr 1st inning entitlement was 100 overs each.
Now that was ridiculous.
