probably Woofa...it was some ridiculous amount.

back abt 20 years earlier i think it was played over 240 overs ....over three days...and the lwr team had to beat the top team..like the sheffield sheild.I remember a story from the Methos that they batted the entire lot of overs and where like 6-7/6-700 something. I think Tex Turner got a double hundred and batted the entire overs and was not out.

I'm pretty sure it was 120 overs per side played over 3 days

Tex would have had some serious ring sting after that effort

Even an 8 point game between Hallam and Nth Dandy could make it very interesting! Could be 3* sides on 39 points equal 4th!

3 each wouldn't make any sense. That would mean there is more points allocated to the first innings result, rather than the actual outcome of the game.

You sound like you are in the know? Only problem now is, 10 points may not be enough. Will still be relying on other results.

Tie first innings, then win outright. Its the only way both teams can have an equal crack at more than 6 points.........

I still dont understand where the 8 points comes from? Wouldn't it be 7 points? 3 each for tie, 4 for the outright winner?

Na mate, you get six for a win.

eg. if you lose 1st innings, then win outright you get six. then the other 4 are distributed. Those 4 go to the winner of the first innings....

If 1st is a tie, you get 6 for the win, and both teams get 2 for the draw (half of the other 4) so 8 to the winner, 2 to the loser.

If you win 1st, then outright, you get the 6 and the 4.............

Hope that made a bit of sense, confusing myself here!

Is what you would think, but rules show the points as 8 points for an outright win with a tie on first innings.

I think Narre will win and lock in 4th spot - Doves, Berwick, Springy, Narre.

If not its gunna come down to %. for 4th between (barring any funny stuff) Narre and Buckley.

IF Narre win & Berw win, Doves, Berw & narre wont change? agree, barring any funny stuff Narre or BR for 4th. That is unless Keysie beat Sooky Sth then opens up a can of worms.

So this is how I reckon it will finish:

1. Doveton

2. Buckley

3. SSCC

4. Berwick

5. Hallam

6. NDCC

7. NWCC

SSCC v Hallam in round 10 should be a belter!
