It's doubtful, but I wouldn't be surprised if Springy Sth, Buckley and Hallam or Nth Dandy all win outright this week.
If both Berwick and Narre win and Springy Sth win outright against Keysy, then no one else can get in. If Springy only win on first innings, Buckley could do it to them again with an outright against Mordi. If any of those teams lose then it's going to get very interesting as it brings Buckley, Hallam and Nth Dandy all into calculations.
eg. if you lose 1st innings, then win outright you get six. then the other 4 are distributed. Those 4 go to the winner of the first innings....
If 1st is a tie, you get 6 for the win, and both teams get 2 for the draw (half of the other 4) so 8 to the winner, 2 to the loser.
If you win 1st, then outright, you get the 6 and the 4.............
Hope that made a bit of sense, confusing myself here!
Ah ok, that seems strange to me. I should speak to the opposition captain before every game, arrange to both declare at 0/0 in first innings then play off for 8 points and if i lose i still get 2.
Gobby, the last game means nothing. Wickets are often crap the 2nd week if playing away & you are batting! Seen this many a time over the years-covers blown off etc.
Sorry mate, i don't mean that the last game means nothing at all, it's just that you often get a crap wicket during the year especially when the away team is batting 2nd therefore it happens all year round and not just the last game of the season.
