Valid point Sheepy and understand it fully. Wonder what others would have done. Points for both sides I guess. I know we once got murdered years ago when playing turf 2 (seconds) in a level beyond our abilities so I know what it feels like. I do know that the boys havent batted many 72 over days as games are always completed early. Did anyone notice a game in A grade that was similiar to the Hallam T1 game but a different approach taken?

i understand the batting overs argument but that falls over when one guy ?? makes 220 and only 1 wicket falls in the last 170 runs, hardly shared it around. personally i would have given em a breather around 400-450 odd, but thats just me.
just saw their 4ths score, only had 7. bizarre.
2 narre sides smitty, the old 36 overs times 4 match?

yep isnt that the type of discussion that was being had about the turf 1 game? There is no rule against (or umpires at the games lol) it I guess good luck to them intersting what the final result will be this week. These discussions will continue each season as at the end of the day the players have to perform for the club to get the esired result.

you would be filthy if you played for fountain gate sitting 4th, even if you win your out of the finals. just another example that something needs to be done.

Should be a good run chase if they put away the bad balls and run hard between the wickets
