So why has it taken you flogs 4 weeks to agree with my post that the last round should be a one dayer?! It has no significance going into a 90 over final, as mentioned by G Train. It does, however, reduce any dodgy declarations that would allow teams out of the four to sneak in. Its the luck of the draw if teams play a bottom team last round. You should have enough points by then to make it anyway.
Who said anyone agreed it should be a one dayer? I think it does have significance going into a 90 over final. If the last round was a one dayer, then teams would just do it the week before knowing that in the last round only 6 points is available. You say it's luck of the draw who you play last round, yet you say that teams should have enough points by then to make it anyway. How does that make sense?
Can't have a 40 over cc rule just for round 11, too big an advantage for sides playing lower sides. I know that the one dayers are a disadvantage with no chance of outrights, but making another style of game would be worst.
To be honest I'd be more upset if it was made a 1 dayer (unable to be replayed) and we have weather similar to this. I went to a ground that was unplayable and we got 3 points. Then find out the side below got a start and won and we got knocked out.
If a side miss out by a few points or % I'm sure if they look at their season they would see times where the cost themselves a finals spot.
Doesn't matter what the system is, if teams want to manipulate it to suit themselves they can.
lieing maggot! photo in the local rag with an article bragging about how good you are. maggots like you that keep 8 blokes in the field all day in the 37 degree heat while you smash up 66 runs neeed to taught a a lesson. i hope your 5 minutes of fame in the local rag has fed your ego and blown your ranga head up.....maggot!
I don't slocs, he just doesn't strike me as the type of bloke that would let 3 juniors not get a go while the rest of the team make an unnecesary 600 runs
