Spot On Gtrain, just need guidence which he will get at the cave.
Got plenty of guidance from the Lions, happy for young guys to want to play at a higher standard but to be perfectly honest he'll be playing 2nds at best. Just not ready for turf 1, the move is far too early in my opinion but wish him well.
I never doubted that he would have got guidence at the Lions.but with the lack of old heads and experiance left there he may benefit form the likes that are at the cave. On a plus side least we have retained him in the DDCA and not have him go to a district club, get disillusioned and give the game away altogether

That's all good jake but I reckon Narre would have preferred him to go to District because they could have got him back.
Not sure it is the best move to the Cave as agree with Nelly but time will tell n I also wish him well.

Use a little common sense there is no guarantee that he would have returned to NSCC anyway after a stint in district
Hewitt wills Perrin davies McDonnell gone from ones
Chiller davis sutton gone from twos
8 players from ones and twos.....
This tells me right now he's a chance to play ones.
Not many players are ever ready to play ones and to say Cory is a twos player at best is a ridiculous comment. Not all narre people have wished him the best and i know who that is....... But many have......
Maybe another $45 lesson would make him a ones player?
Best give it a rest.........

Agree with retaining him in the ddca but lack of old heads is incorrect. He had plenty of experience to call on, Mick, Thomsy, BA and myself not to mention willow
Jake no need to be a condescending %stik.........of course there is no guarantee he would return to Narre but he would have been more likely in that scenario then going to the Cave!
The young kid might not be 100% ready now for turf 1 but while he's facing the G-train, Crawf, Ash, Jimmy P & the West Indian every tues & thurs night I'm certain he will develop quickly. He may even find it easier to bat on Saturday compared to training at the Cave...

Correct legal and batting on arch brown wicket every 2nd week......

the way you are vehemently defending NSCC, leads one to assume that you are returning there
At the end of the day he is 18 years old and im sure he will only learn and improve from training and being involved with a T1 premiership winning club and throw him in at the deep end and see what happens, i played ones at 14 and was no where near ready but it stood me in good standing and will do the same for cory.
Its a shame for methos but its his time to test himself against the big boys and i hope he goes well, cory told me he has been told he will start in the ones and he is getting $1000 for the season... his words
sir - so why is jimmy not returning???? told me he was coming back 2 days ago???? so who have the bears actually lost???
