As you said previously, we will agree to disagree. I can't argue with your little dicki bird unless i know who he is! Anyway, Nimi is coming back, bigger and better than last year.

1. Grubby, prepare to bid adieu to cj who has impressed in his interview with Silverton, not far from where he lives. And despite your earlier assurance, Nimi has not yet signed with you, el presidente, meaning you face a massive gap in experience next season if he does not. Watch for others cj may take with him as he has form -- but then, you were the ones who benefited then. What goes around comes around.

2. Coomoora still in search for someone of note to sign.

3. Believe boyz by the creek excited to make more noise with stumpy and his troops finally moved out of the Manor to plush premises at Shepley. Win win for all as visiting clubs will for the first time have space in the rooms rather than under the trees. Been informed Dandy Council has begun renovating. Halleiujah.

sorry fundamentalist, misread your question -- or was i being a smarta and reinforcing my point?

To answer, simmo and vanders, and i am told he continually made approaches to others at the club where he started and then spat the dummy and left when he wasn't made coach. history repeating itself?

Interesting Iron, Nim is with us 100%, haven't heard anything about CJ with Silverton. I would have thought he would have had the decency to call if he was going and i do have respect for him so believe that he would've called. If he does go then he will not be taking anyone, i can assure you of that.

Interesting that you call me Grubby when most only know me as Grub. We are obviously CLOSEish?

Plush premises if you talk about a shoebox.

Visiting sides have always had access to the DDCA side of Dickson pavilion.  Umpires I have been with have always used the DDCA Committee room so that visiting sides weren't lumped in with umpires which happens at a lot of grounds.

The Buckley boys went behind the backs of the following:- Dandenong Cricket Club, DDCA, Dandenong Stingrays, the Dandenong Council curators and of course the umpires. None of them are too happy with Buckley.

They might make a lot of noise but I'm cetain 99% of opposition players don't like playing on the postage stamp.

For what it is worth the total cost will be about $500,000 by the time you take into renovations to the Shepley Oval Canteen and Greg Dickson Pavilion.  I would hate to be a ratepayer in Dandenong knowing that.

So it looks like some of your statements are inaccurate again.

I bet their are other clubs in Dandenong who would want some money spent on them.

Finally Buckley, I believe, were offered Warner Reserve and its huge pavilion but knocked it back.

My, my. Talk about being thin skinned! I'll deal with the two poster boys separately.

First Grub. You sound offended because I called you grubby.

It is simply (and only) a play on the word grub. Just as i play with train (cho cho), etc etc. doesn't mean i literally think you are grubby. i don't know you so I cant make such a statement. you have not posted anything remotely grubby aimed at me so i have no reason to believe you are. its just a play on words man. Lighten up.

Now to the uprooted and unhinged Stump.

Geez, your vindictive bile was unwarrented. My post was simply recording the fact that the umprires had moved, surely a win-win for both parties. Nobody can or would deny that the umps vacated their side to accommodate BRCC for funtions and vice-versa. Both sides were accommodating, but the fact is it was an unhealthy situation whichever way you looked at it.

Sure umpires allowed visitors into their part of the rooms but that wasn't always the case, as every visiting club would attest over the years when many on this forum vented their spleen repeatedly over the years on this very issue.

I don't know where you got the $500,000 figure from but even if it is true, then surely everyone on the cricketing fraternity of the DDCA should be delighted at the improvement.

contd..

Nobody in their right mind would quarrel with the obviously substantial amounts spent on the relatively new complexes enjoyed by clubs such as both Narres and Cranbourne, the renovations at Harold Road  etc. All are great for cricket, especially when our game is facing threats from other sports. It means players at the respective clubs, and visitors from within the DDCA fraternity, can enjoy the benefits.

Carping about taxpayer money exhibits a sad low in the context of the ddca. as a member of the ddca, you should be ashamed.

And as to other clubs not liking playing at the postage stamp. you are entitle yo you opion, but I would merely pont outcould not that have some relationship with the accommodation on offer. I would venture to guess that when you are batting it is a great p[lace; if you are bowling it is a challenge .. . but the other side of the coin is that if you are any good then you will appreciate the fact that batsmen's eyes are more likely to light up and offer you a chance they might not on a bigger ground.

About going behind ups backs: the club was openly pursing its case with the DDCA and council for years. No secret.

As to offers of other reservers, it is the perogative of the club to choose where it wants to reside, not the umpires or other clubs. Every other club would do the same, in fact owes it to its members to act in their best interest.

Trust Stumps narrow, extremely prejudicial comments are not reflected in adjucations next season but a collective who are duty bound to remain neutral and objective at all times. endeth the surmon.
