I'll make an effort to get there so join the squirrle and me and we'll have a coldie. What's your preference -- VB, Carlton or Corona, or would you prefer a Japanese beer (Franksie's Fridge stocks em), as I hear from a Caveman that you have been know to speak Japanese. Your word is my shout.

But hang on. Can't let this through to the keeper. What's this about trying to ''push a quicker one through''? My mate the squirrel with big nuts has the best seat at Park Oval, up in the protuding branch of the fourth elm tree almost behind the bowlers arm, and he reckons you did have two speeds -- slow and slower! (Sorry champ, couldn't resist.)

Glovesy, no need to apologize pal, I'm well aware of the pace I bowl at. Just as an off spinner does, I do have a quicker ball when bowling my LST's...

F-ell out of the elm tree after having a few with my mate the squirrel in the morning, hit my head and got confused and ended up at the Cave where our respective two's were playing, thinking i'd bump into you there. anyway, rang the club to order you a jap frotthie only to be told by a slackbackside that they had run out so got you a Mexican, because that's another language I'm told you have been known to speak.

outraged to hear wendell ? sailor call my mate cho cho ''dodgy'' on the ddca radio show this morning. rang in to complain but they ruled what I had to say to the dunken sailor was not suitable on a family show.

Just seen the Dandy Leader and big pic of choo choo. Never been close enough to realise he had such movie star looks. But mate, come on, such a massive pic for two-fer in a losing side? Wish I had your connections in the media.

And what about your former pal Alex? Bet you wish he hadn't crossed family lines to be with your cuz's lot. Streaking to the Wookey at the moment.

well done on the win big fella, and the 30plus with the bat. delighted to see my favourite player (from a club other than mine) starred for you guys with bat and ball ... again! he'd be my no.1 pick in a team of ddca players, whether an all-comers XI and more so an XI of players who have grown up in the DDCA. (what about starting another topic and picking two such teams leading into the break and again leading into the finals?)

Choo, have you had your boys practicing the lap shot and reverse sweep before Saturday's encounter with the high flyers at BK Reserve? Astute fella that you are, you probably know this already, but in the spirit of the times, a little friendly tip: Be prepared to outfox them when they bowl to 7:2 off-side field.

To all my sparring partners, very happy times to you and yours over X'Mas, and a New Year full of fun on ''argy bargy'', with no malice intended and no malice taken.

Big couple of weeks for us glovesy but they had to be, missed an opportunity against Narre but the form has probably been franked since then. At least puts us in a competitive position at Christmas with a relatively good draw to come if based on current ladder positions, which I understand doesn't mean a lot. We do pick up an extra bat for next game onwards so we are reasonably happy with where we're at now. But don't worry we were looking forward to the break as much as anyone...

Slocs played a belter yesterday, hardly mis-hit a ball all day, shows theres plenty of life in the old boy yet!

 It is Stumpy. I think they got about 320 though last year and we got 290 odd in reply. Long way to go in this match, wicket was good for batting and outfield fairly quick. We'll be confident of giving it a shake, these games are generally down to the wire.
