What an incredible run-chase by the mighty Vs against NSW at South Sydney Oval today!

A. Finch should be selected ahead of D. Warner every time, abbreviated format or Tests -- certainly if Warner doesn't unload on the belter of a pitch usually served up in Adelaide. Finch is more consistent with big runs and he is running hot.

Brain-dead selectors don't always pic guys when they are in rich form.

Finch hasn't even been the Vic's best 4 day team this year has he? Not sure why, he's in pretty good touch at the minute.

David Hussey's innings was unbelievable yesterday.

not a question of hindsight but arrogance/idiocy of aus squad selection and first test team being laid bare for all to see against india in madras/chennai.

playing three pacemen and a medium-fast allrounder and one spinner (who goes for 215) when there's a left arm spinner in the squad. did the selectors just land from mars. have they not heard of horses for courses, even if the horses are not exactly thoroughbreds. did they not realise they would be playing on dirt tracks notorious for viper spin. did they not watch or see the figures in the recent nz series/any series in the land of curry munchers? and playing five mollyduker batsmen on tracks tailor made for left arm offies to exploit the bowler-created rough outside off stump. time to sack all the blind freddie selectors.

More homework needed for Aus skip after his mad dash first ball at Mohali.

And what of that NSW muppet (masquarading in SA now) who has had his third recall and can still only manage a total of 88 runs for five dismissals so far by India's spinners in three-and-a-half Tests.

Still be spoken of as "a great talent" by the least talented, most boring and least informative TV cricket commentator, AB. Spare us more such nonesense. Pick Hughes for the Ashes and the looming train wreck will bve even uglier. Swannie, Monty and every other Pom spinner will get him cheaply just like the Injuns
