Hey TGO, remember I asked you if you'd be re-recruiting the butler.... now Dee Field is spruiking a tit for tat coup in grabbing the highly credentialed and equally highly priced Jeeves as well as Manoj? What's going on champ? Losing your touch? Say it ain't so!

yes ironguts i've lost my touch. jeeva and manoj have departed and will be joining the magpies. i guess that means we will be under manned and no good. would be happy to avoid relegation. can't win em all.

welcome back. you obviously survived/thrived? on the hot curries. I believe you were busy in the tit-for-tat stakes with DDF, having grabbed a. javid to make two trophies on the mantlepiece from down her way. did kingi provide the phone number?

as you well know we have had the well documented departures but have added firepower to keep jeremy company to provide a bit of chin music in the form of hoagy carmichael the great jazzman!

Whatcha talkin bout re coaching and falsies? I aint said nothin bout coaching on this thread. More to the point, you haven't answered my last post re pillaging javed as well from the lovely folk at Narree.I can seen how it fits into your youth recruiting policy swapping and old J for a younger J, which should help lower the avergage age of your team next season by about 30, assuming granpops Ayres hangs up last century's boots as well.

I could hear the harps and violins playing as you typed your stuff about your lot struggling. Use the same inventive imagination to imagine a box of tissues accompanying this post to help you wipe away those crocodile tears.

I'm sure your ruthless recruiting will persuade Jamieee to install SS as firm favs to win the 2013-14 flag. I know you are my favourites.

That may have been true as you wrote your post but are you aiming to have Javid signed before the start of the season? Handy four-pointer! He'll take a lot of pressure off you as you will be less likely to have to regularly come in at say five-fer-buggerall and resurrect the innings. What about the guy from Dandy you have lined up?

Believe Woofa's lot have been busy as beavers but still no sucklings in their nest. Been trying to entice a couple of boys back as well as making an Arnie-type replacement scoup but haven't snared any bunnies in their scanning searchlight as yet. What say you woof woof?

The Adonis at Cranny has been given a year's extension on his contract as he promises, as assistant coach, to chisel their squad into Adonis' like himself with his super fitness regime when pre-season training starts. So next season the Cranny boyes will all look a million bucks ...... but will their performances reflect the money being spent to drag the club out of T2?

you inferring you've got more than one Dandy player lined up? if so, it would be courteous to share their names with those of us who use this space. What about the chatter about a gun from Mornington? any name to share?

tgo, you could be playing with fire using phrases like "enlighten me" with wordy, who, as you know, has an olde worldy way of playing with words. On the one hand he could take it as an invitation to lighten your wallet the next time he sees you, or he could suggest a weight-loss regime, or he could be more literal and let loose his inner pyromaniac ... all at your expense.

For my part, I would simply say you are using another classic deflection, like your dab shot through gully/point. It is you who should be enlightening us with answers to his questions about a Dandy player (or two?) and perhaps a Mornington player with names, or say its bunkum and we'll see what really transpires.

young quirkiness will have large slosh boots to fill (as in his old man). as to the second part of the question, it was based on chatter around the traps re you guys lining up a mornington player but if you say it aint so i'll take your word.

TGO, the following is from a match report on the recent Notts v. Warwickshire match which might interest you.

"Lumb, who had posted a career-best first-class score of 221 not out just 24 hours earlier, had a brief but eventful stay at the crease. Despite hitting two mighty sixes, he scored only 21 but should have fallen earlier but for a comical slip by Ateeq Javid, whose feet went from underneath him as he positioned himself to take a routine chance at third man."

Will he be fielding at third man at Harold Road?

See Kingi has helped you further ravage DDs lot. How many opening bowlers can you open with?

Also believe (despite young recruits) you are keeping up the "oldies" average age by recruiting a star 40yo batsman!
