Has there ever been a bigger upset in Turf 1 history than Nth Dandy beating Buckley this week? Good on the Northeners for getting on the board too, could get them on a bit of a roll as has happened in previous years.

Steady on, Choo! I know you're excited because the result gives you a better chance, but the history of the DDCA goes back a long, long way.
Nonetheless, the Northerners thoroughly deserved their laudable win, which was set up by Wayne Taylor's fine four-fer not many. Clarky also bowled well, and their batsmen obviously out-batted the Ridges despite facing an ostensibly better attack on a tacky track batting first. Well done boys.
Well instead of shooting down Choo Choo Ironman how about you list for us other upsets that are better or equal to North Dandys win
Odds person (or should that be odd person?), i wasn't ''shooting down'' Choo, simply alluding to his statement being a mighty big call apropos ''the history'' of the comp.
Just like you, Choo, I can't think of one at the moment, but that means nothing as all of us do not have the ''history'' of the DDCA at our finger tips. No denying the result was as much a smack for the pundits as for the noisy boys, but as i've already said, it was a notable and well deserved win by a team that outplayed the opposition.
further to the questions posed by jaaamie and train, it has been pointed out to me that all such matters are a question of perception. most of the folk down by the creek reckon the round 2 defeat by coomoora was a bigger upset because the roys had just come up from turf 2 and not many of the pundits (including the good choo) backed them, whereas the northerners were coming off a good seasond dig following a dismal first innings against the great one's powerhouse flag favourites.
the same perception could be said to have applied when coomoora beat one of the heavily fancied teams (at that stage), doveton, in round 1.
sorry, should have added re doveton: woofa, what anger management remedies do you guys contemplate to stop your star player from getting himself into trouble with his mouth?
hasta la vista, baby, but i wasn't referring to the terminator. i believe your skipper got rubbed out (following his earlier suspended sentence) for not controlling his players, with the other wilson getting suspended to sort of even the ledger with his bro who copped two weeks earlier in the season. come on boys, the footy season doesn't start for a while yet.
woof, i was being sardonic. that part of his anatomy is the usual culprit but this time, irony of ironies, he got wacked for keeping the old gob shut and not controlling his players in the opinion of the hit squad.
I am tempted to concede, Woof, seeing you have had little to cheer so far, and this being the Yuletide season. But that would not be right. I trust Santa brings you more joy; that he fills your stocking or you fill your boots!
