and choo, no names no packdrill! give me a call to get the inside gos so that you are the full bottle when you go on air and don't repeat a certain thing you said last week when it was never going to happen.
Yep, got that bit, although what does no names no packdrill mean? What about dont repeat a certain thing you said last week when it was never going to happen?
choo, no names no packdrill was in context of you threatening to send a cherrio. unfortunately can't elaborate on here what you shld not repeat because that would give the bloodhounds a scent.
Irongloves is there any chance of you being normal sometime soon?
do you want me to be as "normal" as you barker? you realise there's an expression that goes with barking ...!
and choo choo, I'll say this real slow.... the ... r e l e v a n t .... g u y ... w a s ... n o t .... g o i n g . . . t o ... d o ... w h a t .... you . . . s a i d... h e .... w o u l d. get someone to rewind the tape for you.
anyway, let's hope predicated rain and possible hail does not skewer the result on the weekend. hopefully conditions will be the same for both sides and the result is determined on the merits of the participating players. Mordi deserve to be favs after finishing on top in the home-and-away series.
ok choo, you're starting to blow the ol soot out the funnel again so i'll calm you down. you mentioned dj among the bowlers that dandy west would have to contend with when he was never going to bowl because of a slight side strain picked up in the previous match. he was being saved for the gf. he bowled like the wind at training this evening in a sensational 50-minute spell bruising the hands of two batsmen who might struggle to pull on the gloves on saturday, and another who is talking a couple of octaves higher thanks to swollen nuts. kuru and him make for an interesting opening combo.
Ironsmith, I don't recall mentioning anything about DJ bowling, I do remember one of the other guys bringing it up though. Perhaps you should rewind the tape buddy as I'm sure you have it on record..... Sounds like a great plan, to not bowl in the semi and then break his mates hands at training on the Thursday night prior to the big one.... He won't open the bowling, Kuru and Lash will.
My tip........... As I said last week, forget rankings - sometimes you just have to pick the best side and that's what Buckley Ridges is. A grand season for Mordi and no one but their own would have predicted their deserved spot in the big dance, but this GF is Buckley's to lose and only they can snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. As is their catch cry - Come on boys................
And for those who are neutral supporters and are planning on doing the rounds over the weekend, do yourself a favour and pop into Harold Rd as Lyndale vs Cranny promises to be a beauty. I played against both of these teams this season and exceeded poorly against both, but let me tell you I am a dead set fence sitting here. I can't split them. Both have claims to be elevated but as we know only one will.
T1 GF finely balanced, tks to magnificent DJ-Toddy partnership for Noisy lot.
An aside: when was the last time the batting side in a T1GF had to make three starts over three days to complete its first innings? Overcast conditions Sat-Sun no boubt favoured the bowlers, making the abovementioned partnership all the more meritorious. Just look at all the scores in other matches.
Some highlights so far: DJ-Todd partnership; bowling of Choo Choo look-alike Bence; Bloodhounds hallmark 7-2 defensive field from early on which may have bottled up run scoring but denied them wicket-taking (ie bowled/lbw) deliveries with too many pitched outside off stump (and a fair few by quite a margain); good umpiring by the twin blue and black M&Ms (Moose/Medima) to recognise this, as well as other decisions including when to come off and when to resume play; entertaining community radio commentary team with subtle repartee between Choo and TGO. Captains of two finalists last year did not let their obvious disappointment get in the way of fair and generous apportioning of praise for participating finalists.(However, why the obsession with wanting Connellan to bowl because of some perceived Toddy weakness against spin when no spinner has dismissed him?) Keysie clubmen's great job with the covers; Keysie igloo providing excellent value for money $5 roast beef in gravy buns; Keysie canteen charging $4 for very dead hotdog rolls for finals when most clubs charge $3 during the year; is that finals goughing? Keysie ground's good wicket and beautiful outfield; premier player from another comp seen in deep conversation with recruiter from top DDCA club; could he be an early coup?
Speaking of recruiting, note to lying senior official of certain club: $14 grand a year for one gun does not assure you promotion. you can only hope that the second promised $14k will ensure your man can stand up when it counts next season.

Keysy had to do a great job with the covers because no-one from Buckley went out to help, as per DDCA rules
WOW Buckley Ridges should replace the Australian (or NZ) side the way shytforbrains and dopeyword talk! Todd should be packing his bags now and DJ well what a superstar batting in the dark... he must have used his ears to listen to the ball as it came down to hit it.... PLEASE SPARE US YOUR DRIBBLE....
On another note the radio was quite entertaining and made a valid point about Connelan and the fact they batted a bit slow towards the end (could have batted Mordi out of it if they got another 50 odd Sunday).
Gtrain will it be on again this week?? I heard a rumour it wont be.
