J van Winkle, it appears you are still hibernating but when you do stir and frame a book, here's another tip: Francois Haasbroek will be the first to eclipse the comp's established T1 leading all-rounders Spolly and Roberts in the coming season.

Hate to say this but first outdoor training session by the creek was a disaster for several bruised and battered batsmen this evening. Culprits: the new twin speed demon pairing of King Kuru and Boogie Woogie Hoogie. The pair will give a lot of opposition blokes who fancy themselves with the willow a hurry up/touch up this coming season. Happy to be watching from the sidelines.

Sounds like you have a couple of fast bowlers who, outside of taking wickets, will be doing exactly what they are paid to do. I agree, it will be good to witness from the shade.

 Gloves are you suggesting that a potential weakness for the Ridges is their inability to cope with fast, hostile bowling - particularly in the early rounds until batsmen settle in?
