"The DDCA Match Committee met recently and, amongst other things, settled on the make-up of the turf competition for the ensuing season.
There has been an influx of eight new turf teams with Parkdale & Dingley deciding to field sides in the DDCA, Hampton Park re-affiliating a second eleven (now that their refurbished ground is fully available) and an application accepted from Berwick Springs for their first eleven to play on turf with home games at opposition grounds on Sundays.
This has lead to 64 turf sides this season, as compared to 56 last year.
The following movement will take place -
Turf 1 (12 teams) - Lyndale in from Turf 2 - Doveton out to Turf 2
Turf 2 (12 teams) - Doveton in from Turf 1, Hampton Park in from Turf 3 and Parkdale (new side) in - Lyndale out to Turf 1 and HSD & Springvale South out to Turf 3
Turf 3 (12 teams) - Dingley (new side) in, HSD & Springvale South in from Turf 2 and Mordialloc in from Turf 4 - Doveton out to Turf 4 and Hampton Park out to Turf 2
Turf 4 (14 teams) - Dingley (new side) in, Doveton in from Turf 3, Lynbrook & Narre North in from Turf 5 and Parkdale (new side) in - Mordialloc out to Turf 3
Turf 5 (14 teams) - Berwick Springs, Dingley, Hampton Park and Parkdale (all new sides) in - Lynbrook and Narre North both out to Turf 4
With the inclusion of Parkdale and Hampton Park in Turf 2 (& Doveton), that grade will now be made up of 12 first eleven sides."

Why are they still in T2 as they finished Last 2011/2012, Where as Doveton who finished last in T1 are now T2, DDCA executive stated the " Only Way a team can be in a lower grade is if they finished LAST ",
